Aligned with Tata Technologies' vision of engineering a better world, the centre is strategically positioned to enable global automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers to pioneer software-defined vehicles and e-mobility solutions. The focus spans the entire product value chain, ranging from conceptual design to post-sales service. The establishment of the new centre in Coimbatore opens up opportunities for local talent to engage in global projects, enhance their skills in emerging vehicle software areas, and drive innovation across the automotive value chain.

Coimbatore is rapidly emerging as a key engineering hub in India, boasting a dynamic engineering community and a robust education ecosystem. The innovation centre will concentrate on a spectrum of vehicle software projects, encompassing embedded software development and testing, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connected vehicles, functional safety, cybersecurity, hardware-in-the-loop validation, and AUTOSAR. The initial phase of operations is expected to employ 100 vehicle software professionals from the local community, further solidifying Tata Technologies' commitment to fostering technological advancements and local talent development.
